This award will be presented annually to a gymnastics professional from Region 2 starting in September of 2002. The first award, fittingly was awarded to Dick and thus named for him.
Criteria for nomination:
- Twenty years experience coaching or judging in Region 2.
- Development of athletes who qualify to any level of the USA Elite Gymnastics program.
- Training of athletes who represent the USA in International Competition.
- Contribution through seminar or clinic to the education of Region 2 gymnastics professionals.
- Mentorship of Region 2 gymnastics professionals.
